Dog Heads Up New Division

Hey everyone, check out this draft of my Press Release:

Marie Lisewski, owner and chief designer of Laurel Mountain Basket Co is pleased to announce the promotions of Zeva The Dog to Designer of the company's Pet Line division.  Zeva will be responsible for choosing and testing all of the toys and treats that will be used in the company's expanded line of pet gifts and gift baskets.

"Zeva has been a key part of our success and we are thrilled to promote her to this important position", said Lisewski.  Zeva joined the company in August of 2010 as a puppy and due to her Border Collie intelligence and organizational skills quickly rose to several management positions including Retail Greeter at the company's Easthampton Massachusetts location.

"We plan to expand our on line presence in the pet gift field in the next twelve months and Zeva will be an important asset to help our organization reach its goals", said Ms. Lisewski.

"I am thrilled to be taking on this new role.  As a dog, I am very aware of the need for more toys and treats in every pet's life and my goal is to see that we provide pet gifts to fit every taste and every budget." said Zeva.

-end-

I am so excited.  I've been promoted.  As you know, we already carry a nice selection of gift baskets for dog and cats but in the coming months my goal is to expand the line to include lots more gift ideas.  I'm looking forward to to taking on this new challange and would love your help.  Let me know what you think we need to do to provide our clients with the best pet gifts and gift baskets in the Universe.

Love,
your friend
Zeva

  1. Hi Zeva,

Congratulations on your promotion! I am duly impressed. I have some suggestions. Thanks for asking. If it was up to me, I would ask for catnip, yummy treats, toys, ooooh, and a soft blanket. I heard you have some in your store. There is nothing like a soft warm blanket to curl up in next to my pal Lullaby on a cold winter night. Oh and one more thing- I love love love to be brushed. It would be nice to have another brush around. My Mom tends to misplace things, or rather I misplace them and tell her she did it. New bowls might be nice, ceramic, stainless steel or glass please. The dogs friends I know would also enjoy new toys – indestructible ones, if you please. Soft blankets, tasty treats, and a good walk would be nice, but I know you can’t package that and send it along. On behalf of my Mom, I think a beautiful and thoughtful card would mean a lot. When we lost one of my best buddies Spirit Boy last year, the cards my Mom received meant the world to her. She holds onto them, and they bring her joy, laughter, and comfort.
Zeva, I wish for you, for Marie, and for all you hold dear the very best, yapppiest, New Year.
    Peace to you and yours,
    <3

  2. Thanks Blue Sky. I know what dogs like but not so sure about cats. We don't have a cat living in our house so I really appreciate your suggestions.

We have really sparkly toys for cats and toys with catnip are very popular.

I know what you mean about having a soft blanket to curl up with especially on these chilly New England nights. I have one in each of my crates but prefer the one on my mom's bed.

Brushes, huh, I didn't know cats like to be brushed. I'll definately add brushes to my list.

    Thanks again for your help.

    Love,
    Your friend,
    Zeva
